The idea for this painting comes from sailing along the shoreline off the coast of Nova Scotia. In general, its not possible to see anything below the surface, so I wanted to give a glimpse of what lives below. A Hidden World reveals a quiet moment where a sailboat rests at anchor. Sunlight streams through the water, illuminating a drifting school of trout below—a concealed scene of life and movement beneath the calm above.
Crafted from an original watercolour painting and printed in-house, this print is produced on archival fine art paper with museum-quality giclée inks. The subtle texture and depth of the paper echo the feel of a true watercolour. Even to the trained eye, this print can be mistaken for an original watercolour. All prints mail flat and shipping within Canada is included.
